One of the things I suggest to my Blog Bootcamp clients is having a “spare” blog post ready for those times when you are unwell, on holiday or just too busy to write your regular article.
Today, I wished I’d followed that advice myself!
This week’s post was supposed to bring you a set of short audios I’ve created on the 7 Deadly Sins of Business Blogging. They are on Audioboo and according to the Audioboo website, you can embed the playlist into a WordPress blog. Trouble is, when I tried, it just didn’t work. I’ve hunted in the support forums for both my WordPress theme and Audioboo and so far haven’t found a solution.
So instead, I’m writing this on the importance of having a backup article ready to go. Just as importantly – replace it as soon as you use it. I did have a spare article – but it was published last week when I injured my arm and couldn’t use the keyboard.
There’s always something which can crop up to get in the way of your blog writing, so be prepared.
PS: If you’d like to listen to the 7 Deadly Sins of Business Blogging you can find them on the Audioboo website.
