It’s hard to believe it’s a year since I launched Paprika Marketing.
The last 12 months have been packed with discovery, hard work, excitement and personal highs and lows.
I’ve met some fantastic people and learnt a lot about myself.
The best bits:
- I love the flexibility of working from home – plus the extra 90 minutes a day I get by not commuting. I’m pretty good at managing my time and working when I need to work, but it’s great to be able to do the shopping at quiet times and not have to take a day off to wait in for deliveries. Breakfast in the garden is another favourite, but frankly the weather has been so bad, it just hasn’t happened this year.
- These are exciting times in online marketing and although it’s a challenge to keep up to date, life is never dull. The SEO landscape has changed dramatically and social media continues to grow with new platforms like Pinterest coming along.
- Meeting lots of other small business owners through 4Networking. Even if I hadn’t gained many lovely clients through 4N, it would still be worth the membership as the support and advice is amazing. It’s made me realise how isolated I was running my previous business. Must try to stay off the sausages, however.
Personally, it’s been a difficult year, with my father having a stroke and passing away just after Christmas. That meant business had to take a back seat so it’s taken longer than I hoped to establish.
Having looked back, it’s now time to look forward to the next 12 months
Moving house is next on the personal to-do list. We moved here as a stop gap – 7 years ago! So we are currently in de-clutter and clean-up mode.
And I’m currently working on a really exciting new product for Paprika Marketing. It’s due to launch on 1st October and will really make a difference to your online marketing. I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
It’s going to be a great year – I hope you’ll join me along the way.
